Entry 001 | A New Chapter Begins

Welcome to the very first Wild Childz® Development Journal—a new way for us to bring you behind the scenes as Wild Childz continues its journey from concept to collection.
To Our Wild Family
First, thank you.
Whether you’ve been following Wild Childz since the beginning or recently joined us through the Ping preorder, your excitement, encouragement, and belief in this dream have meant more than words can express.
We also want to acknowledge something important.
Over the past several weeks, we recognize that our communication has not reflected the standard we set for ourselves or the experience we want every member of the Wild Childz community to have. We appreciate your patience and the grace so many of you have shown while we’ve worked through this important stage of development.
The silence was never because development had stopped. In fact, some of the most important work was happening behind the scenes. As an emerging company bringing our very first doll line to life, we encountered several significant business and production decisions that required our full attention before we could responsibly communicate the next steps.
While we wish we had brought you into the process sooner, we also wanted to be sure that when we shared information, it was accurate, meaningful, and reflected the direction we were truly moving.
Today marks a new chapter.
From this point forward, you can expect a new Wild Childz Development Journal every Saturday, where we’ll share milestones, behind-the-scenes progress, and the journey of bringing Wild Childz from concept to reality.

This Week's Progress
Since the preorder concluded, development has continued across several important areas.
One of our earliest priorities was exploring how to create an opportunity for those who missed the original preorder to one day welcome Ping into their collection, while fully honoring the commitments made to customers who participated in the first release.
That decision required a significant amount of planning behind the scenes.
Manufacturing agreements, production quantities, payment structures, engineering plans, and long-term manufacturing strategies all had to be reviewed and updated to support both the original preorder and the future growth of Wild Childz.
During that same period, global manufacturing conditions and rising production costs created additional challenges that required further negotiations with our manufacturing partners. Rather than compromising the quality or design of the dolls, we chose to invest the time needed to revise engineering where necessary and protect the vision we originally shared with you.
Although these discussions happened behind the scenes, they have laid a stronger foundation for both this preorder and future Wild Childz releases.
Ping's Development
Ping remains our highest priority.
Her roto-head development has been finalized, and work continues on the details that truly bring her personality to life.
We’re currently refining her face decoration and hair-rooting specifications to ensure they meet the quality standard we’ve set for Wild Childz.
One of the most important decisions we made during this process was choosing not to approve early hair results that didn’t fully represent the character we’ve all come to know.
Instead, we brought additional expertise into the development process to help achieve the look and quality Ping deserves.
As doll collectors ourselves, we understand how much these details matter. Every adjustment being made today is intended to ensure the finished product reflects the same care and personality you’ve seen throughout Ping’s journey.
Behind the Scenes
Many people assume producing a doll begins once manufacturing starts.
In reality, much of the work happens long before full production can begin.
Original tooling, engineering revisions, artwork development, material approvals, quality testing, packaging, and production planning all happen before the first completed doll comes off the production line.
These early stages often receive little public attention, but they are some of the most important steps in creating a product built to last.
💡 Did You Know?
Every Wild Childz hairstyle is individually developed before production begins.
Unlike many doll lines that reuse hairstyles across multiple characters, each Wild Childz hairstyle is designed specifically for that individual character.
Hair fiber, color, density, rooting direction, and styling are all carefully reviewed before approval.
It’s one of the many details that helps each Wild Childz character maintain her own unique identity.

We’re especially excited to begin sharing more visual updates as development continues.
Our goal is not only to show you the finished product, but to bring you along for the journey of creating it.
As production continues, we'll share updates at key milestones. Once production reaches the stage where shipping timelines can be determined with confidence, we'll provide an updated shipping window and notify customers before orders begin shipping. Every customer will also receive a shipping confirmation email once their order has been fulfilled.
Our Commitment
One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned through this first production experience is that communication is just as important as development.
While we’ve been deeply focused on building Wild Childz, we recognize that bringing our community along for the journey is equally important.
This Development Journal represents our commitment to doing exactly that.
Some weeks will bring exciting new photos.
Some weeks may involve engineering refinements or production decisions that happen behind the scenes.
Whatever stage we’re in, we’ll continue sharing the journey with you openly and consistently.
